A great alternative to natural dreadlocks, synthetic dreads such as Elysee Star dreadlocks offer a whole new outlook for those of us who love to create a truly unique style.

Synthetic dreads are made from synthetic fibre or kanekalon fibre and are super versatile!  Available in a range of natural and unnatural colours, these pencil thick synthetic dreads can be braided in to your hair in what is known as a dread 'install', or made in to dread falls.  You can even braid in a few accent dreads if you prefer for a more subtle look.  Elysee Star dreads are available in solid colour, naturals, brights, transitionals, swirls and lots of other colour variations.  These dreads are all double ended which means they have the look of two dreads, but are all in one.

If you would like to install these synthetic dreads, for a full install we would recommend you order between 6-12 packets.  Your natural hair will need to be at least 3-4 inches long to install these dreads. Don't forget to order your mini elastic bands to secure your dreads in place.

You can keep your Elysee Star install in for up to 6 weeks.  We do not recommend cutting these synthetic dreads as they will unravel.  The Elysee Star brand synthetic dreads are currently only available in one length and thickness.
