How to Care for Your Cyberlox Falls and Wigs
Cyberlox are bold, eye-catching, and built to last — and with the right care, they’ll keep looking amazing for years. Whether you wear them to clubs, festivals, photoshoots, or cosplay events, a little maintenance goes a long way. Here’s our expert guide to caring for your cyberlox so they stay fresh, bouncy, and ready for your next adventure.
Odour Removal
After a night out of heavy dancing, your cyberlox might pick up a little odour — don’t worry! Simply spritz them with a fabric-safe de-odourising spray (like Febreze) and hang them in an airing cupboard for a couple of days until the smell fades. Always choose a spray that’s safe for synthetic fabrics.
Cleaning Up Spillages
For light, non-sticky spills, gently wipe the area with a warm, damp sponge and allow it to air dry.
If the spillage is from food or a sugary/milk-based drink, spray a little antibacterial cleaner onto the sponge first, then gently wipe. Avoid scrubbing over any painted or hand-sprayed accents, as this may remove the design.
What to Do If Your Cyberlox Get Wet in the Rain
Got caught in a shower? No problem. Just hang your cyberlox in a warm, dry place (like an airing cupboard) for a couple of days to dry completely before storing or wearing again.
How to Store Your Cyberlox
To help your cyberlox keep their shape, hang them by the elastic strips on a coat hanger in your wardrobe. This lets them fall naturally and maintain their volume. Avoid folding or cramming them into storage boxes for long periods.
Foam Maintenance
If your foamies become misshapen, gently run them between your finger and thumb to straighten them. Be careful not to press on any detailed or painted areas, and never apply heat — this can cause permanent damage to the foam.
Tubular Crin Maintenance
It’s best not to pull or overstretch the crin, as this can cause it to lose its bounce. If you notice a kink, try:
- Sliding the crin between your fingers with gentle pressure.
- Pushing each side of the kink back into its round shape a few times.
If this doesn’t work, the crin may be permanently damaged. You can order packs of tubular crin here.
Quick Tips for Cyberlox Care
- Always air dry — never use a hair dryer or apply heat.
- Hang to store — don’t stuff into bags or drawers for long periods.
- Be gentle with painted or sprayed designs to avoid wear.
- Use fabric-safe sprays and cleaners only.
With just a little care, your cyberlox will keep turning heads for years to come!
