Anna Wave Braiding Hair - Glitch Sea Witch

CyberloxShop Glitch brushable waves - also known as Anna wave or deep wave synthetic hair - are a premium high heat resistant synthetic braiding fibre with flowing pre-formed waves throughout the length of the hair.

Unlike traditional braiding hair, this fibre is already curled into soft waves, which saves styling time and creates an instantly textured look. The hair is smooth and silky to the touch and can be gently brushed while still maintaining its wave pattern.

To help preserve the waves for longer, we recommend brushing with a wide-tooth comb rather than a standard hairbrush.

Brushing is only necessary if the hair begins to mat or mesh together, which is normal for synthetic hair that has been installed for a period of time.

To keep the waves looking their best:

• Use a wide-tooth comb or a soft brush without ball tips on the bristles
• Start brushing from the ends and work your way upward
• Brush slowly and gently to avoid loosening the waves

Daily brushing is not usually required. Brushing every few days or when needed is normally sufficient to keep the hair looking fresh.

The waves can be washed when installed, but this should generally be avoided unless necessary.

Washing can cause the waves to loosen because the hair becomes heavier when wet, and synthetic fibres take longer to dry. Friction from shampooing can also reduce the wave definition.

To keep the install fresh without washing:

• Cover the hair with a sleep cap or hair wrap at night
• Use a good quality dry shampoo on the roots if needed

Dry shampoos designed for dreadlock installs often work well for this purpose.

Most braid installs using Anna wave synthetic hair typically last around 6 weeks. After this time your natural hair will usually have grown enough that the install needs to be redone.

Once removed, the waves can be gently washed in lukewarm water with a small amount of shampoo and conditioner.

Rinse thoroughly and allow the hair to air dry on a towel before placing it in a warm, dry location such as an airing cupboard.

If the waves have loosened, they can be refreshed using heat styling tools (up to 160°C) or by wrapping the hair around rods and dipping in hot water before allowing it to cool.

Yes. If the hair is removed carefully and is not heavily tangled, the waves can be washed, refreshed and reused for another install.

Once dry, the waves can be re-curled if necessary and used again. Alternatively, the hair can be repurposed to create festival ponytails or loose hair extensions.

The waves can be re-curled using standard heated hair tools set to no more than 160°C.

Always perform a small test on a hidden section first to ensure the temperature is suitable before styling the rest of the hair.

Another option is to wrap the hair around curl rods and dip it in hot water, leaving it to cool before removing the rods.

From one approximately 100g pack, you can typically create around 10 double-ended slimeline synthetic dreads with wavy tips.

The exact number depends on how thick you section the hair. Thicker sections will produce fewer dreads, while thinner sections will produce more.

For a full braid install using Glitch Anna wave hair, we recommend 3–4 packs depending on head size and how full you want the style to be.

Mixing different colours together can create unique custom blends for more creative installs.

For a full head of partial synthetic dreads, we usually recommend 5–8 packs, depending on the thickness of the dreads and the size of the head.

Using multiple colours can add extra dimension and texture to the finished dread style.
